Taking international examinations

2014 has been all good and pretty quiet to me for now, although it's only January 3rd. I've been watching some episodes of Suburgatory and Awkward, two of my favourite shows ever. Also I started to read a book that my mom bought me on Christmas 2010, which for some reason I couldn't finish yet.. (lazy girl here, my apologises).

If you didn't know, I adore learning languages. My mother thonge is Spanish and also I can speak English. I graduated from high school on 2012 and I haven't had any english course in all 2013, unfortunatelly I do not have english classes on university. So this year I decided to take the FCE exam. I've always wanted to take a Cambridge english examination, but due to unknown reasons, I didn't. I know that if you do not practice your english (or any second language you've learnt), you will probably forget a lot about it. I definitely do NOT want that, so that's other reason why I'm taking this exam. Have any of you guys taken any international exam? Any advices? Luckily I'm always reading things in english, like blogs or even books. Plus I just made a decision: I'm not longer reading books in spanish language, at least not this year. I want to focus on my english reading skills. Also I think that's a great way to practice for the FCE. And I absolutely love staying at home watching movies, and of course, they are all in english. Plus, I don't even use the subtitles, so I can force myself to understand what they are saying. LOL. But I have to admit that my learning strategy is actually working, success!

Probably you  think I'm obsessed with languages. And I can't blame you, 'cause that's true. After I take this exam, I really want to learn a third language. I'm not sure which one I want to, though.. I was thinking about Italian, it sounds like pretty and just awesome! Also I would love to try Swedish. What do you guys think?

Okay, I think I'm going back to my reading now, or maybe watch some more episodes of Suburgatory. We'll see. Talk to you later!

Hello readers! Lately I have been watching some vlogmas, and i have to say my favorite one was Remi's videos (click here to watch), I think she's so hilarious and you guys should definitely check them out if you haven't yet. Anyway, right now I'm eating some fresh fruit salad (yum) and listening to music. I'm pretty excited for New Years to see the New York and Sydney fireworks, i don't know why but i love this part about New years!

I hope everyone had a happy Christmas with your family, friends and all your loved ones, and perhaps, got a lot of gifts! Personally, I had a beautiful Christmas night, my aunt, uncle and my cousins came over and we had a bunch of yummy food. We watched some fireworks from my neighbors home. Then I went out with my friend and partied all night!

I can't see me loving nobody but you for all my life

This is weird. The last time I blogged was on July 10th... I missed this a lot! Sorry about that, by the way.

So many things happened lately. This semester has been so hard and disappointing. But I won't write about that. Anyway. I'm kinda freaking out... when I was about 11 I used to be a super crazy fan of the Jonas Brothers and now they are gone, they broke up! I just can't believe this, my childhood is gone forever! This is kinda sad and it's such a pity because their songs were so catchy and they sounded awesome together. I remember when my best friend Emily and I attended to our first JB concert in 2009. It was a present from my parents, since I was about to turn 15. Best gift ever! I remember all the fans in the stadium singing to We Will Rock You by Queen while waiting for them to show up. I was so excited, I was about to see my idols, I was about to see my teenage crush, Nick Jonas. I used to be in love with him. I hope they get back together one day.

I'm currently watching Freaky Friday, remembering old and happy times :')

Hellooooo folks! It's been a while, right? I've been so busy with college, had so much to study and I've been preparing for finals. But I'm finally ready to blog! My friends and I went clubbing the other night so I thought it would be a great excuse to go shopping ;) I wasn't really sure what to buy but then I decided for some acid wash skinny jeans. 

We had such a great night. We met our guy friend from college and his friends. I confess we got a little drunk.. (just a little bit) haha. Anyways, I hope you are all okay and enjoy the song below! :)

Presents

Hi everyone! I know I'm not updating my blog very often lately, but I do try to blog as much as I can. 

So as I told you in my last post, I turned 18 in April 16th and I'm now "legal" YAY! :D I'm not sure why but I've been waiting for my 18 since a long time ago so this is pretty exciting! I'm now listening to a compilation of the best irish songs on Youtube while I write this. I know that probably sounds weird but the truth is that I ADORE irish music so yeah. Anyways, I want to show you guys my favourite presents that I got for my birthday, hope you like them! 

PS: Just letting you guys know that it's winter here in the southern hemisphere so that's the reason why all my presents are wintery stuff.

This is what my aunt gave me. So pretty!

I think this is my favourite present. My best friends gave me these cool mittens/gloves. You can wear them as fingerless gloves (I don't remember how are they called) and if you feel that your fingers are freezing you can wear it as mittens, how original!

Also my grandma gave me $200 but I'm not sure what to buy yet, so as soon as I spend them I'll show you guys.

Eighteen

Hey everyone! Long time no talk. Today it's my birthday, eighteen years since I was born that Easter Sunday, April 16th 1995. I'm finally "legal"! I'm an adult.. that sound's pretty weird, I know. I'm not sure if I'd rather be happy or sad? Anyway, I'm happy so far.. I'll show you guys some of my presents soon. Take care! x

Pen pals

Hello there! So how was your Easter? I hope you guys had a lovely Sunday. I never thought I will ever say this but.. I'm sick of chocolate! lol. I've eaten loads and loads of chocolate eggs and candy and lot of food! My belly is about to explode right now.. Anyway, my Easter Sunday have been pretty good, I gathered with all my big family and had such a lovely day.

I'm now writing and decorating some letters to my pen pals in Canada and Australia. I love this new hobby! I don't only write to my friends from around the world but also learn a lot about their countries and cultures. Have you ever sent something to somewhere from another country? Do you have any pen pals?

Happiness

Hello blog! I know I barely post lately. University has me really busy.. so much to study and a lot of stuff yet to do. I know I said I was going to blog more often, but I'm doing my best to keep my blog updated! These have been a lot of changes in my life. University includes studying much more than school, but also brings you new friends.. new amazing friends! I'm going through a wonderful phase of my life. I felt upset most days when I was in school. I used to be so freaking shy and I didn't like to talk to people. But now I feel more comfortable with myself, I made a lot of friends, I barely care what people think about me, and I feel like I'm getting over shyness. It's not completely over yet, but I'm feeling much more confident! At least I speak to people now and I'm feeling more talkative! This new life brought me happiness. Obviously, everything is not perfect. I have to study A LOT now, I get soooo freaking nervous for exams and everything is much more difficult now. But this is just part of growing up :)

So if you guys have the opportunity to go to university, don't miss it. I strongly recomend you to go, you won't regret! Think about the million of people who would love to go to Uni but they can't because of many reasons. It could be the best phase of your life (:

Mixed up

Sometimes I forget this is my blog, which means I can post whatever I want. Sometimes I blog for others, I try to write about what my readers want to see. So this is gonna be a bit different. This is something that is happening to me and you guys are obviously free to keep reading or leave. This is about love.

If you did not know yet, I started university a month ago. I've met awesome people and now I made two great friends. The other day, our teacher took us to go through the university campus 'cause my classmates and I are new in all this uni stuff and we still get lost there. We went to see the greenhouse and how things work there. Lilly and Cynthia (my two new friends) were behind me and I heard they were talking to me. I couldn't hear very well so I got closer to them. They told me this guy Marcus was staring at me. 'It's like he can't take his eyes off you', said Cynthia. 'Wink him. He's all yours now', laughed Lilly. I couldn't find him, I didn't see anybody looking at me actually, I thought they were lying. I don't know all my classmates yet, they are about 50 so I can't remember all their names. 'Who?' I asked. 'That blonde guy! Don't you see him?', Cynthia was trying to tell me, but I didn't see anybody. I kept listening to what the teacher was explaining about the greenhouse. I decided not to believe what my friends were saying. Then I wanted to see around, just to make sure nobody was staring. Aaaand I saw him. He was behind some tall guy. He quickly moved his head pretending he was listening to the teacher, and I could realise he blushed. Marcus, he's called, and he's from a little town close to my city. I'm not sure if he likes me. Nobody ever liked me, so that's why I don't know what to think about this. I don't like what I see when I look in the mirror. He can't like me, he can't think I'm 'cute' or 'pretty'. I do know he always stares at me, 'cause I've seen him many times doing it since that day in the greenhouse. But I kept believing that probably he likes Cynthia because all the boys in my class love her 'cause she's beautiful. I kept telling to myself that maybe he doesn't stare at me, but at my direction. And if somebody is looking at my direction, they could be staring at Cynthia or Lilly, 'cause they sit next to me. But not me, he can't like me.

Last friday, I saw Marcus coming into the class with two more guys and sat behind Lilly, Cynthia and I. I don't really know what to think about this. I'm confused. I'm mixed up. He's cute and seems to be such a nice person. I've never talked to him before though. I think that if he actually liked me, it would be really nice of him to tell me! I would find it adorable and I think we could probably go out? I know this sounds like I'm a dreamer, lol, but it's true! I find him cute. But I don't know. Maybe it's just me. He was probably staring at Cynthia or Lilly. What do you guys think about this?

Meeting people

I've learnt such a bunch of stuff about plant cells this week. If you didn't know, I've started university last february 14th and I'm doing an undergraduate degree of Agronomy. I feel like I have became more responsible now, since I used to be way too lazy and go on my laptop and lay in my bed all day, everytime I had school homework and stuff. Also, I've met pretty cool people there, which is a really good thing and means a lot to me because I'm not a very sociable person!

Every year, last-years students organise parties to welcome us, the first-year students. So a friend of mine Lilly (who I recently knew at uni) and I decided to go and had such a really enjoyable time! I met some of my other buddies who I hadn't had the oportunity to know better and we spent the night together. I found out that one of them came from Colombia, which I found really cool and interesting since he told us about his country and culture. The other two girls I met were sisters. One of them, Florence, is studying the same career as mine. Since we, the Agronomy students, are around 200, the teachers decided to divide us in 5 groups. I'm in the 2nd group and Florence is in the first one, so probably that's the reason why I hadn't seen her before. Her sister, Mary, is in another faculty inside the University, she's in Psycopedagogy. I found these guys pretty cool and definitely had an awesome time! 

At the end of the night, Florence gave me his number so we can hang out some day. Perhaps I just met the people that one day will become my best friends for life.. who knows? :)

Changes

Hello everyone! What's up? :) SOOO, I started university last thursday 14th. I have to accept that the previous night I couldn't sleep, I was soo nervous, scared and excited at the same time. It was a bunch of feelings running together through my head! Just imagine, these are too many changes: new friends, new routine, new ME. First, all the new students of Agricultural Sciences, gathered in a big hall where some of our teacher welcomed us with a looong speech and a play about a first-year-of-university student problems. There, I found out that we are just about 20 girls, the rest are boys... ;) lol. Then, we were divided in 4 groups since we were about 200 new students in that career and we wouldn't fit in one single room. I'm in the group 2, where I met 4 amazing people: two boys and one girl from another town, and another girl who I figured out she lives close to my house! On Friday, we five (me and the other 4 people I met), stayed together all day and definitely had so much fun! We went on "tour" around the uni, but suddenly we got lost.. We wanted to find the cafeteria but we found a basketball field instead.. lol. The campus is too big! Those two days were just "adaptation" days, the teachers showed the first-year student the university, its rooms and its rules. Tomorrow monday we are going to revise high school subjects such as chemistry, biology and maths. That definitely doesn't sound very cool.. Anyways, It's been an amazing starting, and as you can see, I had so much fun and met awesome people there. UNIVERSITY IS AMAZING so far ;)

Song of the week! + Life updates

Hey folks! Today I got up at 8 and I just came back from running, I'm soooo tired! Yesterday I decided I would lose weight 'cause I've eaten A LOT lately and also I find myself kinda chubby, so it's time to get fit! Sadly, I'm not really a very persevering person and I need to find a motivation to keep running, so I'm gonna write on my blog every time I exercise, just to check I actually ran.

I adore Fun. They played this song last night at Grammys and they were amazing! I was happy when they won Best New Artist and 'We Are Young' won the Song of the Year award. But still sad because Ed Sheeran didn't win :( Anyway, ENJOY! :)

Starbucks: ✓ done!

I know this is a really pointless post, but anyways.

In a previous post (click here) I had said that I really really wanted to eat at Starbucks since I've never been there before 'cause there's no single Starbucks store near my city. Tumblr is one of my favourite sites and I find myself blogging cute pictures every days, and half of them include Starbucks related pictures, so that's the reason of my new obsession wish. Yesterday, tuesday February 5th 2013, to be presise, was the day that I had my first breakfast at Starbucks ever! I had a Mocha Frappuccino and a chocolate chips muffin, and I have to accept it was exactly as I expected. It was soooo delicious! Now I get why people say it's awesome.

Five minutes in and I'm bored again

Sorry guys, I'm been soooo lazy lately to update my blog.. but I'm here again with more stuff to post. The other day I went out with my friend and had a chocolate frappé with ham and cheese sandwiches.. goodbye diet lol. Hot days

Hello there! It was soooo hot today so I decided to stop complaining about that and I took a sunbathe. I'm not sure if I actually tanned lol but it was good. Yesterday I was kinda bored so I tried to draw Jennifer Lawrence.. okay this is a big fail I know.. My little brother, he told me: 'That's not even close'. My brother is the cutest kid in the world, right? lol. I finished it today , it took me so long! .. Anyway, at least I tried!

Now I'm painting someone on Photoshop.. let me see if you can guess who is it! It's not finished yet, obviously, but I'm going to show you guys when I'm done :) This is what I did so far, so what do you think? xx

I like watching the stars

It's been so hot today, I'm sweating! And it's realy funny because all the bloggers I follow are posting pictures of their snowy gardens, snowy streets and it seems to be snow everywhere! Days like these make me realise that I hate living in the Southern Hemisphere where is too hot! We are in summer right now, and I'm sorry for complaining a lot, I love summer actually but personally I think summer is perfect only when you go to the beach, and the closest beach is around 1000 kilometres away! The only thing I wish right now is to have some snow here.. just a little chilly breeze so I can go back to my normal body temperature! haha. Anyway, now I'm going to check some more blogs before I go outside to see the stars and the moon through my brother's telescope that he got for Christmas. After that I'll probably attempt to draw some faces, if everything goes okay I'll be posting my drawings soon! :)

Daily update

Lately I feel like I can't find inspiration. I really want to update my blog but I don't know what to write about! Have you ever felt this way? Any suggestions to find more inspiration? It's 2:03 am right now and I've decided to write in my blog, just to let you guys kow about this. Anyway, today I haven't done anything basically lol, I literally just stayed on my laptop aaaaaall day, it's been a lazy monday i guess :D It's summer where I live so no need to worry about school, studying and homework, that's the best part about holidays isn't it? :D Although I have my moments, when I start to freak out and worry because I'm starting Uni in a few weeks, I'm really scared! It's gonna be a big change.. new friends, new teachers, new places, new subjects.. everything new! But for now, I know I don't need to worry, there are a few more weeks to go, so Lucy please calm down.

Okay, I've decided I would buy Ed Sheeran + album, I've been listening to the full album all night on Youtube and I think I really really need this! I love Ed, he's awesome and his songs are perfect! ♥ What do you guys think about his album? xx

I don't know if any of you has the tradition of The Three Kings day but I do celebrate it. So this is what I got:

So basically I've been doing absolutely NOTHING lately. I just wanted to lay in my bed and relax! You will amaze about this but I hadn't watched Elf movie before, so I decided I would do it and I really LOVE D it! I kinda had a movies marathon so I also watched New Year's Eve, another movie that I strongly recomend. I'll do the same with Valentine's Day, since it's nearly Valentine's day (I guess 2013 is such another year without a love who I can spend February 14th with..), Sex and the City 1 & 2, the Hobbit, the Amazing Spider Man, the Avengers and Friends with Benefits! I think I've got a lot to do now..

I've been inspired by many bloggers such as Zoella and Sprinkle of Glitter who I'm a big fan of, so I wanted to do it too to share what I do daily, what I wear, what I buy, etc. So far, I've been blogging since October 23rd, 2012!

2. Who inspires you most in life and why? (by Jade) Which style icon would you most like to be for a day? (by Lucy)

My oldest cousin. He's 42 years old (I think) but he looks like 18! Not because of his appearence, but his personality! He ADORES going camping and going for adventures. Of course, he's got a wife and two  lovely daughters but also, he's got a young soul. Most 42 years old I know are sooo boring and start getting grumpy. He's also so funny and I don't really know ANYONE who hates him! Also, I can relate to him because he loves everything I do, such as camping, we both have an adventurous spirit, we love watching american TV shows like The Big Bang Theory or Two and a Half Man, we only love music in english language, and I know this may sound a bit Americanophile but the truth is we don't really like the music or shows from our country! They suck actually lol.

If we're talking about celebrities, I ADORE Emma Stone, she's such an inspiration for me. I don't really know why but I think she looks pretty confident of herself, plus she's an AWESOME actress!

Also, I LOVE Zoe! It would be awesome to be her for a day, she's got a lovely fashion sense!

I love marine biology. Also, something that gives me opportunities to travel all around the world., especially somewhere in Canada. I think the most fashionable cities in the world are New York or London!

Emma Stone, definitely. Also I would literally fangirl if I ever meet Zoella or Louise.

I don't really like them, so no.

I will say movies 'cause I love them! But if we are talking about The Hunger Games, I'll say the books! That's the only case that I loved the book more than the movie. I strongly suggest that you should read it.

A handbag. Lately I've been OBSESSED with creepers!

Sooooo shy at first, but when I'm surrounded by nice people I may be so weird but a loyal friend.

New Year's resolutions

Okay I have seen a lot of awesome New Year's resolutions by other bloggers and I think they're all awesome, I'm not sure of mine but I hope you like it!


♥Go to Canada: I really wanna travel the world and I think this is probably the country where I most want to travel to. I don't really know why, but I wanna go there so bad, especially in winter!

♥Start posting my outfits on my blog: I have blogged what I buy, my clothes, my make up products and stuff, but never blogged my outfits, I think that's probably because of my lack of confidence and I don't feel safe doing it. But I really really wanna do it so hopefully you'll see what I wear soon.

♥Improve my photography skills: I've decided to start a '52 weeks' project in my Flickr account this year. I'm an amateur photographer and so far my photographs are not that good so I thought this project would make me learn much more things about how to use some of my camera's tools and improve my editing on Photoshop too.

♥Focus on my Swedish and German studies: I've decided to learn swedish and german by my own, since I live in the middle of nowhere in Narnia and there's nobody here who teaches these languages. I'm a big fan of languages and I really like these ones. I've bought a book to learn German but I haven't pay much attention on it actually. Also I'm learning swedish trough the internet and I think it's a really lovely language,
whenever I hear someone speaking swedish I literally fall in love with the way they talk! It sound really sweet doesn't it? :)

♥Focus on university: So I think it's about time.. this year I'll start university and I'm pretty scared actually! 2012 has been full of good last year of high school moments, I'm so thankful for meeting the most amazing classmates one could ever have, they were all so crazy (in the good way) and amazing! Nobody can avoid laughing when they are close :D

♥Be more confident

♥Become a healthier person: I don't really wanna go on a diet but I do wanna eat healthier. I want to stop eating when I'm bored and stop eating junk food. Also I want to start doing more excercise, at least I want start going for walks more often.
